Spring 2004 Newsletter
Dear Swiftdog Owners;
I wanted to wish you all a happy and healthy summer. As many of you may already know, Swiftdogz Border Collie Rescue and Canines Can Change has relocated, and we now reside in Concord, NC. Although we have made the Finger Farm a wonderful haven for dogs, we were notified in March that the house would no longer be a residential dwelling, rather, a supply house for the several hundred acres Tim Parker (our landlord) owns and farms.
We hope you can take a moment to read the “From the Director” on the home page of our website: www.swiftdogzbordercollierescue.com.
We have found alternative activities for our dogs, and the rescue dogs to do. Located less than 5 minutes to a park, our dogs enjoy playing ball, and Frisbee in a new location. They enjoy going for extra walks, and love the larger backyard. Amongst many things, our garage is a place for the dogs to play when the weather is bad, and with your help, the indoor training room should be up an going soon. Our home is now located at the end of a dead end road, and the location could not be better! Although there is much work to be done, we are enjoying our new “homeowner” way of life and everything is falling into place.
Please take note of the updated address and phone located at the bottom of the page!
Due to our recent move, our wish list has changed and financial donations would be greatly appreciated to help the dogs finish their living quarters. Floor covering is desperately needed in the kennel area, and privacy fencing is needed for the yard. Please, lets get together and help these wayward Swiftdogz feel welcomed while they await their new forever families!
Robert and I hope to hear from you and your Swiftdog! So drop us a kibble and speak-up, we would love to hear from you!
Paws-itively yours,
Jenni Lough
