Andi

Adopted 9-01-02

Andi is a stunning Swiftdog, who, like many other border collies wound up in a misfortunate situation. Andi's family relinquished him due to "uncontrollable aggression" and since they had children, were wnable to keep him. At thirteen months, Andi's potential gleamed! After several months of behavior modification, his attitude adjusted into a mature, manageable young Swiftdog.

Yet, although his attitude seemed to enlighten many, we knew his family needed to be dedicated, and have border collie experience. Hence, the Dougherty family were blessed with Andi, and brought him into their hearts.

Today, the Dougherty's hold the 2003 Adoption of the Year Award for their dedication and perserverence to Andi's continued care. No one is perfect, folks, but it seems the Dougherty's understand just that!

Demi

Adpoted 10-14-02

Demi is doing well after her first six months in her new house with us. She LOVES being outside all day when the weather is nice (doesn't like it when it is wet). She uses her doggie door constantly. Demi still has no interest at all in frisbee (unlike Bucky) but seems to like racquetball's. Thankfully we have a decent yard that she can ran around chasing birds and everything else during the day. She is still pretty afraid of a lot of things, like her food moving around in her bowl, wood floors and a lot of noises, but she is very loving and likes to give kisses. We are looking forward to the summer when we can take them hiking in the mountains.

Rusti

Adopted 10-31-02

Pictured here with Rusti is Amy, Jeffrey and Missy the cat. Rusti hs a great fenced yard, and his family says he is "king of the mountian!" Here's what Rusti's family had to say:

"...Rusti is fine and is a happy family member. He gets along with all the cats and all of our houseguests have just loved him. He's a real sweetie. Good Luck with future rescues!"
