                                      Nate

Nathan King Cole is pictured here at the age of 7 years old, and was the second of Jenni's wayward border collies. Nate holds the top therapy dog position here at Swiftdogz, and has over 500 + hours of community service under his fur. He was rescued under extreme circumstances, (which can be further read about on the Other Programs link). Nate was the first of the Charter Canines to complete the Therapy Dogs International, Inc. Certification. He holds a Therapy Dogs International Active Award, Therapy Dogs International Active Outstanding Volunteer Award and a Canine Good Citizen Award. Regretfully, in December of 2004 Nate retired from his Therapy duties, due to his age.

                                                Dunbar’s Trust-in-Justice

Dunbar is Jenni’s service dog who helps her in everyday tasks. He is certified in medical service and alerts to her hypoglycemia. Dunbar is also training to do field trials; he is proving to be able to hang right in there with the labs in the fields. Dunbar has recently passed his Working Certificate title with the Poodle Club of America.

                                                Stormmi

Stormmi is shown here at 16 months old, and has earned her CGC, TDI and has sent off for her TDIA. Stormmi has been recognized at the age of 9 months by US CUSTOMS as a pre-drug detection dog. Stormmi is training to become a certified search and rescue dog, and enjoys frisbee, ball and hide and seek. Stormmi is a charter canine for the Canines can Change program and was rescued at the age of 7 weeks. She is now our Goose dog, she loves her work and always looks forward to the next day of chasing geese.

                                                Hoss

Hoss, pictured here at 22 months, is our Great Dane and is proudly owned by our co-director, Robert Watson. Hoss has passed his Charter Canine requirements and is a Certified Therapy Dog and holds a Canine Good Citizen. Although Hoss weighs nearly 170 pounds today, he was extremely malnourished and neglected when we rescued him. Today, Hoss enjoys hiding tennis balls in his lips, and playing with his shepherd sister, Anna.

                                                Anna

Anna, is Roberts first dog after he moved from his parent’s home. She is the leader in the kennel and took the roll of “Mama Dog” when Penny Passed. Anna and Stormmi are the two dominant females. Together they keep all the dogs on the straight and narrow.

                                                Dalton Jake’s Rebel w/a Cause

Dalton is a newer addition; he is proving to be a great all round companion. He is currently training to do field trials, and obedience. We will eventually get him in the obedience ring, and possibly confirmation as well. Dalton is as big as he looks; he is what we have wanted in a water dog.

                                                Isaac

Isaac is the Baby of the group. Pictured here at 8 weeks he is going to be a big ol’ boy. He       is going to be put into the obedience classes and hopefully the obedience trials before to long. We have big dreams for this little guy, and even bigger expectations.

Priceless Pennies From Heav'n "Penni"

Penni: Rescued in 1995 in West Virginia, she was Jenni's first rescued border collie and she was terribly abused the years before she was rescued. The authorities were going to euthanize her partly due to their personal dislike of her, and it was understandable...she was a mess, emotionally and mentally, and physically. She was dog aggressive, and she is the foundation of the start of Jenni's knowledge on redirectional training techniques. She was sound and was the alpha dog. Although she was dog aggressive, she used to chew up the food for Jenni's Yorkshire terrier when he got too old to eat the crunchy kibbles....She was his Mama, hence, today we have nicknamed her Mama-Dog. Penni just had to bark and everyone stopped. Nothing got by this ol’ bird, she was the sweetest girl you could ask for in her old age. You take one look at her and like Nate her eyes show you the pain that was felt and the joy of a new life. Now that she is gone we can just hope that the rescues that we have taken in have taken notice of what they could be.

St. Stanley

Saint Stanley: One of the greatest dogs you could have ever meet. If you had the pleasure to meet Stanley than you would know that there is not enough room on any web page to describe what this dog meant to us or to anyone that got to know him. He is sorely missed and we will now forever love this gentle giant.

Rescued from Stanly County Animal Control the day he was to be euthanized. We went in for a lab for SPARRO and came out with this angel.
